Coextruded Nets
A range of coextruded polyethylene nets with a low melting point polymer have been developed for lamination to non wovens. The thin low melting polymer layer (the adhesive layer) softens at a lower temperature to the polyethylene layer, so that the the polyethylene layer remains intact. This allows lamination to occur without compromising the integrity of the polyethylene net structure. The nets have been used with a wide variety of non woven pads including cotton and viscose, regenerated cellulose and polyacrylates.
